I don't know why I never thought of it before. We were recovering from a bout of the flu and were in serious hang-out-and-snuggle mode, so I decided to make some good ol' grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup for lunch. As I was slicing the bread (Super Simple Whole Wheat Sourdough, of course!), I noticed some garlic butter left over from an earlier meal sitting on the counter, and thought, hey, garlic is great for your immune system! And yummy!
And boy were they! I think I might make them this way all the time!
